Anna Kendrick (Jessica Stanley) was presented with the Palm Springs International Film Festival Rising Star Award.  Anna talked about working with George Clooney in her new film ‘Up in the Air’ and also discussed the Twilight and New Moon.

Here’s what The Envelope has to say about Anna receiving this award:

Up-and-coming actress Anna Kendrick, who is enjoying critical and audience buzz for her performance in Jason Reitman’s “Up in the Air,” will receive the Rising Star Award from the 21st annual Palm Springs International Film Festival at its awards gala on Jan. 5, 2010. The festival itself takes place Jan. 5-18.

The tribute is just one of many Kendrick has amassed during her relatively short career. A Tony Award nominee at 12 for “High Society,” the twenty-something actress also netted Independent Spirit Award nominations for her feature film debut in Todd Graff’s “Camp” and for the indie favorite “Rocket Science.” She appeared in the blockbuster “Twilight” and its upcoming sequel, “New Moon,” and is currently working on the third film in the Gothic romance series “Eclipse.”

Previous winners of the Rising Star Award including Scarlett Johansson, Dakota Fanning, Bryce Dallas Howard, Emile Hirsch and Terrence Howard.
