New Moon’s Edi Gathegi TMH Interview

Edi Gathegi interviewed with TMH recently.

TMH: You flew in from Italy?
Edi: Yeah, I just arrived last night. Jumping back on a plane to get back there tomorrow.
TMH: So how was filming going?
Edi: Well, I finished New Moon in Vancouver like a while back. I’m working on something else.
TMH: Can you talk a bit about that project?
Edi: I doubt many people will see it because it’s going to be onstage, so unless you’re in Italy or New York, you’re not going to get a chance to see it. But it’s going to be a five-actor version/musical/comedian of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

COED’s Take: Why include the third Twilight movie to come out in less than two years? Two reasons. One, because it’s literally highly anticipated: right now there are a couple million 14-year-old Twilight fanatics searching the Web for articles that mention it. And two, because the new director, David Slade, might actually bring a spark to this franchise. He did 2005’s Hard Candy — the most disturbing movie to feature a teenage girl cutting a grown man’s testicles off since, well, ever — and 2007’s 30 Days of Night. So, at least he knows his way around vampires.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Will the Movie Beat the Book?

After Robert Pattinson’s announcement that Breaking Dawn, the fourth book in Stephenie Meyer’s ridiculously popular Twilight Saga, will hit the big screen, we got to thinking: Will it make a good movie? And more important, will it turn out better than the book?

Breaking Dawn is very different from the first three novels in the series (Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse) and saw numerous mixed reviews during its release week. The millions-strong fan base was divided — everyone either loved it or hated it.

We’ve come up with 10 ways the movie could either rake in major box-office bucks or epically fail in a way not seen since Speed Racer dropped off the face of the planet. Even Pattinson might not be enough to save this one.
