MTV  was able catch up with Melissa Rosenberg on the red carpet at the 2010 Emmy Awards to talk about Breaking Dawn!

Movie TrailersMovies Blog

Melissa Rosenberg talks to MTV about the script:

“They’re coming along,” Rosenberg said. “I just flew in last night from working with ['Dawn' director] Bill Condon, prepping the scripts. It’s a lot of work, I’m exhausted,” she added. Rosenberg also revealed that she’s between 75 and 80 percent finished with the two screenplays. “But we’re intent on making them the best scripts yet.”

Regarding the biggest challenge she faces in finishing “Dawn,” parts 1 and 2, Rosenberg said it’s the climactic “battle scene” — in which the two opposing vampire groups face off in dramatic fashion at the end of the book — that’s proving to be her biggest obstacle, rather than the infamous “birth scene”.

“The final battle sequence is a big challenge because it lasts 25 pages,” Rosenberg told us. “It’s almost an entire three-act story in and of itself. You have to track (kept all in one setting) hundreds of characters. It’s an enormous challenge to choreograph on the page and for Bill to choreograph on the stage.”

Rosenberg went on to say that perfecting that scene is her “next big hurdle.”

Jackson Rathbone Online Interview With Jackson

Jackson Rathbone Online had the chance to interview Jackson, and they have the exclusive interview posted in its entireity over at their site here

Since signing onto Twilight, you’ve always spoken about wanting to do Jasper’s back story for Eclipse. Finally getting the chance to film it, were the scenes you filmed at all how you imagined Jasper’s back story would be portrayed on screen? Was there a moment in the book you wished had made the cut?
It was exciting when I finally got to step in the civil war outfit for the first time… I looked at myself in the mirror, and I thought, now that’s Jasper. Not the high-school kid trying-to-be vegetarian-vampire Jasper, but Jasper at his core. The warrior and the gentleman. I just wished I got to play more of the Civil War era vampire scenes because it was so natural and so much fun.

Kristen Stewart in UK’s Daily Mail

Kristen Stewart talked to the UK’s Daily Mail to promote The Runaways, which just came out on DVD.

“It was tough because I only had a really tiny window of free time, but I wanted to make the movie. And I didn’t want to get any older because I’m already older than Joan was when she was in the Runaways,” says Stewart. “I just crammed it in, and hoped that it would work. And it did. It’s nice to switch to movies like this between Twilights, but I’m excited to go and do the next couple of years of Bella’s life.”

She arrives for our interview looking elegantly sophisticated in a black mini-dress with her dark hair pulled up behind her head in a bun. Yet she confesses: “When I dress up, I have to have a lot of help. I was in a T-shirt until a few minutes ago.”

Like the teenage Joan Jett, Stewart has a sullen, almost surly look, which proves to be misleading, because she willingly attempts to answer questions, thinking carefully before she speaks but sometimes finding herself unable to articulate her thoughts.

“It’s impossible to always get across what I’m trying to say, but, if I just stay honest, then I’m not going to look back on any of these interviews and wonder what I was trying to do or be,” she says.”

Kirsten Prout in Inspire Magazine

Inspire Magazine talked to Kirsten Prout about how Eclipse has affected her career eventhough her part in the movie was brief.

She may have had a small part in the latest installment of the Twilight series, Twilight: Eclipse, but she has already generated a lot of buzz among the “Twi-hards.” Kirsten Prout is gradually climbing the charts as she is set to release two new films including My Super Psycho Sweet 16: Part 2.

INSPIRE: You’ve been in numerous television series (including Kyle XY) already. How was it different stepping into a movie (Eclipse), especially one so popular worldwide?

KIRSTEN: It was definitely intimidating stepping onto a set with an established cast, all of whom are tremendously talented. On our show (Kyle XY) we had such a dynamic, so I knew what I was in for as the new kid. That being said, everyone was so welcoming and it was an absolute pleasure working on Eclipse.

I: Did you have to contemplate on the idea of being in the third installment of the series? Have you read the books?
K: To be completely honest, I wasn’t used to the idea of such a small character, but when I saw that it was for Eclipse, I realized it was such a tremendous opportunity and just being involved is enough. It has really opened doors for me and I am so grateful for the experience.

Twilight Fansites Interview With Stephenie Meyer

July 16, 2010 by Sara

The four fansites that got the coveted visit with Stephenie Meyer have posted another clip from their four hour conversation Here’s a snippit where the ladies from Twilight Series Theories got Stephenie to answer some questions about Fred from The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner.

Twilight Series Theories: What is it about his human characteristics or his trait that caused him to have that ability when he is a vampire?

Stephenie: I see it as Fred’s backstory. He is in college, a little bit older like Riley and I see him as being – he is beautiful now because that is what happens, but him as being kind of a science nerd. Sort of quiet and sort of not liking other people’s attention. And of course when you live in a room full of newborns, that’s gonna be an even stronger need. So him, having that need to not be seen manifested in that way. And of course that makes him kind of cool.

Twilight Series Theories: Well, it is weird because he has got this ability to make people feel so repelled that they are nauseated. I think that is where they got the smell thing from.

Stephenie: I think so, but for me it was like completely a feeling in your gut. It wasn’t really a mental thing, more like a visceral and really, really potent. When you have to learn fast when you are in a group like that and so he is in an elevated learning program and he gets good really quickly. And, he is really, really smart. I liked to think about the newborns and what it would be like to be so unable to focus and all the time all you can think about is this driving need that you have and you are barely human. But if you can stop and slow down, you are able to think and you are really bright actually and he is able to do that on his own which makes him unique and special.

Collider Interview With Wyck Godfrey About Breaking Dawn Filming Locations

TWILIGHT Producer Wyck Godfrey TWILIGHT: ECLIPSE, BREAKING DAWNThe most popular videos are a click away

Collider has a new interview with Twilight Saga producer Wyck Godfrey, where he reveals they will definitely be shooting part of the movie in Louisiana alongside the previous Vancouver set locations. He says the reason for this is partially financially motivated with tax credits along with a strong crew base in the area, and from the interview it sounds like there may be a substantial portion filmed in Louisiana.

Godfrey also addresses the question of whether Breaking Dawn will be shot in 3-D, and he says it is under serious consideration. He notes they talked about it for Eclipse, but decided early on not to go that route. He also notes that he doesn’t want to do a post-production conversion like Clash of the Titans if it’s done in 3D, but wants to film it with the proper equipment in “real” 3-D as was done with Avatar and only if director Bill Condon feels it suits the material.
