In an new interview over at Entertainment Wise Drew Barrymore talked about Eclipse, and how she was one of the contenders to make the third installment in the Twilight Saga

However, in an interview with the Irish Times, Barrymore said she wasn’t upset because she had not fallen “in love with” the script.

“Timing-wise, I’m glad that it didn’t work out and everything I think happens for whatever reason it’s supposed to,” she said.

“I’m very much looking forward to seeing that film. And there’s been two or three others that I’ve flirted with.”

She added: “The thing that’s really the most important for me is to be so in love with what I do that it’s what gets you out of bed and makes you work six to seven days a week, 18 hours a day.

“Unless you’re that invested, you won’t care about every single detail.”

No offense Drew, I like you and all, but we are glad too!

The great thing is that at least she was smart enough to realize that she couldn’t invest everything into the movie. I actually do really like Drew Barrymore! But she just wasn’t right for Eclipse.

  1. Okay, so Drew, who is my favorite person, so I am biased, would have directed it splendidly, in my opinion. I think she would’ve given a rugged feel to it, which I think Eclipse needs, as well as did New Moon. If she would’ve directed it, then I would be tickled. But she’s not. So…I might see it?
