Emile Hirsch worked with Kristen Stewart on the movie Into the Wild and then reported to friend/previous director Catherine Hardwicke how amazing Kristen was. Eventually Catherine cast Kristen as Bella. Does she have Emile to thank? Here is what Emile said in a recent interview

During an interview to promote “Woodstock” this weekend with OkMagazine.com, the 24 year-old actor revealed that after working with Kristen Stewart on 2007’s “Into the Wild,” he recommended her to “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke, who eventually cast her in the film.

“I was gushing about [Kristen],” says Hirsch . “I think she’s so talented and so perfect. She’s a great conversationalist, very inquisitive. She’s got a little bit of an edge, too, though, so she’s not a pushover. She’s strong and cool. She’s beautiful, she’s smart, and she’s emotional, too.”
