Kellan Lutz Featured in Pet Adoption Campaign
PeoplePets is featuring a new PETA Ad promoting Pet Adoption, featuring Kellan Lutz and his dog Kola!
Shot by celebrity photographer Collin Stark, the advertisement features Lutz posed with his first dog, Kola. “She’s my best friend,” he tells PETA in an exclusive interview. “There are countless numbers of animals out there. It’s our job to take them under our wing.”
Lutz explains that he found Kola in a shelter, curled up and frightened in the back of a cage. “I touched her toe and said, ‘Hey, what’s your name?’ ” he recalls. “She spoke to me.” Warned that she was a puller, Lutz decided to walk her anyway, and knew then that he’d found the one. “From that day on, I loved her,” he says.
According to PETA, about 8 million unwanted dogs and cats enter shelters every year — and half of them are euthanized due to space issues. “There are surprisingly many animals in these shelters,” Lutz says. “It’s sad, and knowing that they get euthanized. For the fans of Twilight out there who have so much love, give that love to a pet if you don’t have one.”
Nikki Reed Proud of Kellan Lutz’s Calvin Klein Ads
Nikki Reed told E! Online’s Marc Malkin that she is really proud of Kellan Lutz and his Calvin Klein X underwear ads.
“I think he looks fantastic,” Reed told us at last night’s Hollywood 3-D screening of the Burberry Prorsum show from London Fashion Week. “I’m actually really proud of him.”
She continued to gush…
“It takes a lot of balls, no pun intended, to stand and pose like that,” Reed said. “I wouldn’t have the guts to stand there naked like that.”
Unless, she added with a laugh, “I looked like Eva Mendes.”
Reed, however, wasn’t as chatty about Breaking Dawn. “We’re making it, I do know that,” she said. “It is happening. As for an exact date, I don’t know.”
Asked if it’s going to be made into two flicks, she teased, “I do know the answer to that.”
No surprise, but Reed declined to elaborate.

JustJared is reporting that Kellan Lutz has been cast as the husband of Mandy Moore’s character in the upcoming film Love, Wedding, Marriage.
The romantic comedy has Mandy playing a marriage counselor whose parents separate after many, many years together. She feverishly attempts to get them back together, jeopardizing her own marriage.
My Best Friend’s Wedding actor Dermot Mulroney will be making his directorial debut. Production for Love, Wedding and Marriage kicks off in New Orleans in early February.

People’s Choice Awards on Tonight
The People’s Choice Awards will air tonight at 9pm EST on CBS. Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz will be appearing at the show. New Moon is up for Favorite Movie as well as several other acting awards. Queen Latifah will be hosting the awards.

Kellan Lutz to Attend People’s Choice Awards!
Taylor Lautner will indeed be attending the People’s Choice Awards next month, along with Twilight Saga’s Kellan Lutz, who is now on board to attend.
“New Moon” has certainly been a fan favorite since its release in November, so it comes as no surprise that the film’s stars Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz will attend the People’s Choice Awardson January 6. According to CBS, the show will air live from the NokiaTheatre in Los Angeles, with Queen Latifah hosting and performing at the show.
Lutz will join Lautner, who is up for Favorite Breakout Movie Actor. “Twilight” snagged nods for Favorite Movie and On-Screen Team for Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Stewart and Pattinson are also nominated in the Favorite Movie Actress and Actor categories. It has yet to be confirmed if Pattinson and Stewart will appear on the show.
Twilight is nominated in the Favorite On-Screen Team category, Favorite Franchise & Favorite Movie categories. The awards will air on Wednesday, January 6th 2010 at 9pm on CBS.
