Nurse Jackie Picked Up For 3rd Season

Peter Facinelli’s shopw, Nurse Jackie has been picked up for a third season.

Good news Nurse Jackie fans! Less than a week into the series’ second season, the Showtime original hit (which features Peter Facinelli as the quirky “Dr. Fitch Cooper”) has been picked up for a third.

According to Zap2it, Nurse Jackie and fellow Showtime series United States Of Tara “received a 12-episode order for next season, and both will go back into production later this year for a likely 2011 premiere.”

Facinelli recently spoke to the San Angelo Standard-Times about the series, saying “I’m a fan of the show. I love watching these characters and how they all interact … and to see how they react off of each other, and how they get along and don’t get along.”

The Examiner Interview With Peter Facinelli

The Examiner has an interview with Peter Facinelli who plays Dr. Cullen in the Twilight Saga Movies. Check it out here -

Peter Facinelli was kind enough to speak with me today about his work on The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Nurse Jackie, up-coming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and much more.

Though recovering from a bit of a cold, this self-proclaimed Twilight fan and film enthusiast was earnest and open about his work.

After a couple of weeks of constant Twittering, and the widely known win in a bet with Rob DeFranco, Facinelli is still working out the details on how to handle the prize. Says he, he is still “just trying to figure out what to do for the day [June 30th] because I want to try and do some kind of charity event. I thought it might be a fun way to actually make it into something meaningful.”

While the day might already include the very charitable donation of Facinelli’s own actor’s chair to one lucky Twilight fan/Twitter follower, Rob DeFranco’s Hollywood Boulevard jig might not be all Twilight fans will see on June 30th, it seems.

The New York Post has an aricle with a short interview with New Moon’s Dr. Cullen played by Peter Facinelli.

Peter Facinelli, who plays Dr.Cullen in New Moon, was interviewed on the red carpet for the premiere of his new show Nurse Jackie and talked about New Moon as well as Eclipse. He talks about how Director Chris Weitz reminds him of the character her plays in the movie–

“I always tell him, ‘You remind me of Dr. Cullen,’ because he’s very thoughtful and always thinking and always calming,” he said. “If there’s any chaos going on, you can look to him and it’s all calm, so he really is Dr. Carlisle Cullen.”

“He even started wearing scarves,” Facinelli continued. “I was like, ‘Hey, you’re stealing my thing, man.’

 

NYC Premier of Nurse Jackie

Peter Facinelli walked the carpet with Edi Falco and his other Nurse Jackie co-stars.  According to BuzzFocus there was some unplanned excitement:

“Zoey Brakow, Jackie’s nurse in training, rushed to the lower level of the party exclaiming, “I think someone is like having a heart attack.” At first, we didn’t know if this was real. But sure enough, in about twenty minutes, EMT’s came through the party carrying an elderly woman away. From all appearances she was fine as she gave the crowd the thumbs up, while being carried away.”

Remember Peter is on Chelsea Lately tonight (June 3rd) and Nurse Jackie debuts on Showtime on the 8th.
